MG HeadlightsCVR

Montgomery Gentry continues to fire up playlists with the release of their brand new single, “Headlights,” impacting country radio today and scoring 2nd most added with over 40 stations on board!  The super duo shines bright on their first new music since 2011, with a late night, back road party anthem, written by hit tunesmiths Wendell Mobley, Bob DiPiero, and Tony Martin and produced by Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Thomas Rhett, ABC's “Nashville”).  “Headlights” will be available for fans to download digitally on September 2nd.  Their debut album with innovative and independent new label partner, Blaster Records, is set to release in early 2015.
The duo recently took fans behind the scenes of a live performance in an action-packed teaser for, ‘Headlights.’ The clip premiered exclusively on Taste of Country late last week.
Early praise for the song includes:
"Before there was Bro Country, there was Montgomery Gentry.  ‘Headlights’ is Eddie and Troy at their best!’  - Kerry Wolfe, WMIL/Milwaukee
“Montgomery Gentry have been bringing hits to country radio before bro country became cool. ‘Headlights' is a solid modern country song perfect for radio today!” - Tim Roberts, WYCD/Detroit
“…A new take on the classic feel of Montgomery Gentry. Eddie and Troy know how to use their very distinctive vocals perfectly to offset one another while they also use “Headlights” to show their ability to unapologetically move their signature sound forward.”– One Stop Country
“Montgomery Gentry began delivering Hell raisin', back road, party down, good time songs when Florida Georgia Line…were still middle schoolers. With "Headlights," the talented duo from Kentucky has retained their sound, attitude and edge. They also still know a good party…”- All Access/RJ Curtis

Montgomery Gentry's Energy Shines On "Headlights"

Country music super duo Montgomery Gentry is set to debut its first new music in nearly three years with the release of "Headlights," the lead single from its forthcoming album on Blaster Records. The Kentucky-raised Grand Ole Opry members, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry, are known for their blue-collar anthems and "heavy Southern rock" sound (Entertainment Weekly). "Headlights" - written by Wendell Mobley, Bob DiPiero and Tony Martin - is a celebration of wild nights brought to life by the duo's contagious energy and passion. The song impacts Country radio August 18 and will be available for purchase via iTunes and all other digital outlets in early September.

Bolstered by a new label partnership with Blaster (also home to Jack Ingram, Aaron Lewis and Chuck Wicks, amongst others), Eddie and Troy continue to play to sold-out crowds while working with producer Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, ABC's Nashville) on their debut album for the fledgling independent label, slated to bow in early 2015.

"We love singing songs that we've lived and this is definitely one of those songs,” says Troy of "Headlights." “Eddie and I are excited about the music we've been recording with Michael Knox and can't wait to get it out to the fans.”

Montgomery Gentry has celebrated multiple awards and nominations from the CMA, ACM, and GRAMMYs. The duo has charted more than 20 singles, with anthems like "My Town" and "Hell Yeah" becoming indelible parts of the honky-tonk landscape. They have reached #1 on the singles charts five times with the hits "If You Ever Stop Loving Me," "Something To Be Proud Of," "Lucky Man," "Back When I Knew It All" and "Roll With Me."
